Screens

High content image-based screens:

We routinely perform phenotypic screens on mammalian cells in culture as well as vertebrate embryos and organoids. We have the ability to run automated fluorescent imaging and image analysis on fixed cells or live, long-term cultures in 96-well or 384-well format. Some examples of the types of screens that we have successfully completed include identifying small molecules that affect neuroprotection, stem cell self-renewal and zebrafish embryonic bone development.

Plate reader-based screens:

We are equipped to run plate-reader screens in 96-well or 384-well format.

Genetic screens, including shRNA, siRNA, cDNA:

Through a collaboration with the Molecular Screening Shared Resource group at UCLA, we are able to offer genetic screens in either high-content or plate reader format.
